The Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act (SAVE) was passed by the New York State Legislature and signed into law by Governor Pataki in July of 2000.  Schools became required to report violent and disruptive incidents (VADIR) on an annual basis.  For more information on the collection of VADIR data, including a frequently asked questions and answers document, click here.

To access the NYS Center for School Safety VADIR page which includes a MOODLE training and a VADIR blog, click here.
