Child Abuse Workshop / Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment  

 To obtain educational certification, candidates must also provide documentation of having completed two hours of coursework or training regarding the identification and reporting of child abuse and maltreatment according to section 6507 (3)(a) of the Education Law.  http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/sss/SAVE/

Course Schedule:

7/14/08 (12:30-2:30 pm) * Immediately following the Violence Prevention Certification training from 10-12 noon

8/22/08 (10-12 noon) * Immediately prior to the Violence Prevention Certification training from 12:30-2:30 pm

9/23/08 (6-8 pm) * Immediately following the Violence Prevention Certification training from 3:30-5:30 pm

10/22/08 (3:30-5:30 pm) * Immediately prior to the Violence Prevention Certification training from 6-8 pm

11/13/08 (6-8 pm) * Immediately following the Violence Prevention Certification training from 3:30-5:30 pm

12/15/08 (3:30-5:30 pm) * Immediately prior to the Violence Prevention Certification training from 6-8 pm

**Save $10 when registering for both Violence Prevention and Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (total for both trainings is $70).  Individual courses are $40 each.   

A check or money order can be made out to Capital Region BOCES.  Please do not send cash.  Completed registration form and fee must be mailed to the Student Support Services Center (address above).  For confirmation go to http://sssc.capregboces.org/caconfirm.htm and directions.  A certificate of completion will be provided to participants at the end of the class.  **Participants may bring food to the trainings, due to the timeframe.

Please note:  Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to the start of class.  We are not able to award a certificate of completion to late arrivals.
