The Capital Region BOCES responded to
the needs expressed by schools not able to be served by the
NYS-PBIS Initiative by offering PBIS training and coaching
on a fee for service basis. Currently, we are working
with six schools. The teams in those schools will experience
the same training curriculum (Universal Day 1, 2 and 3 as
well as coaches training) as the schools in the NYS-PBIS
Initiative. They are supported with technical
assistance from their external coaches. Three of the
buildings are working with Kay Bradley, former Easter Region
Student Support Services Lead Coordinator, as their external
coach. All schools involved in our Co-ser services are
eligible to receive aid on their cost in the following year.
We are exited to expandour our services in a manner that
maintains fidelity to the principles and practices of PBIS.
